Hovering safely offshore with my drone as the fleet rounded the famous chalk stacks, I watched an endless procession of sails stretch across the Solent. More than 700 yachts, from family cruisers to world-class racing yachts, carved graceful lines through the water, creating a scene of movement, anticipation and adventure. From above, the boats appear to disappear into the horizon, emphasising both the scale of the race and the beauty of the Isle of Wight coastline.
